Northern Circuit via Machame Route

The Machame route,also referred to as the Whiskey route, is one of the most popular route on Kilimanjaro.Despite being tough climb compare to Marangu route,Machame route is one of the highest Summit Success given the topography of the route which allows climbers to trek high and sleep lower hence making it a more favorable route for acclimatization.

SAFETY ON KILI


There’s no way to ensure you will not suffer from Altitude sickness,however there are 3 golden rules works all the time such as :
-Walk steady each day
-Drink plenty of water often
-Give yourself the most amount of days possible on the mountain

Altitude sickness is caused because the body is not adapting fast enough to the reduced level of oxygen in the air  at an increased height.There are many different symptoms of Altitude sickness but the most common are  Headaches,lightheaded,nausea and low appetite.These mild forms are not serious and maybe treated and disappear quickly or certainly when start descending.

To ensure safety to our clients (RICK TRACKERS & SAFAIS ) we provide our groups with safety equipment and communication network.On every climb we supply and carry all safety and emergency equipment, including:
Oxygen tank, Pulse Oxymeter,Portable Stretcher and an extensive First Aid kit .

We also pertner with KILIMANJARO SAR, Searching and rescue company operate in Kilimanjaro
