Overview

Serengeti National Park is the most renowned wildlife sanctuary in Africa .
With over 10, 000 sq miles of pristine plains host the Great Migration and boost the highest density of large predators including lion , cheetah , leopard and hyaena along with many other smaller once like serval cat and jackal .
Grass plains , rivers , woodlands and hills abounds .

NGORONGORO CRATER : is the result of a volcano that erupted about five million years ago and collapsed on its self , creating what is today an expanse of about 240 sq kilometers which today teems with wildlife , forests and beautiful rivers .

DAY TO DAY ITINERARY

DAY 1

Arrive At Kilimanjaro International Airport

Arrive At Kilimanjaro International Airport and Ricktrackers & safaris representative will meet and drive you to Arusha for dinner and overnight

DAY 2

Ngorongoro Crater

After an early morning breakfast , your journey to Ngorongoro will begin this morning with a picnic lunch .

Ngorongoro crater is one of the natural wonders of the world . The volcanic caldera of of Ngorongoro offers truly spectacular game viewing in the Crater .

You’re almost guaranteed to see the Big Five , hundreds of bird species and large number of big and small mammals against the unique backdrop of the green , forest – like Crater walls . In the afternoon hour you’ll head to the picnic for lunch near by a hippo pool .

After an evening game drive you’ll to the lodge / camp for dinner and overnight .

DAY 3

Serengeti National Park ( Central Region )

Depart Ngorongoro Crater after breakfast and head to Serengeti National park .
En – route you’ll stop at OLDUVAI GORGE , a Cradle of the Humankind discovered in 1959. This is the world’s richest and best preserved Archaeological and Paleontological sites.

Continue the game drive as you entering the Serengeti plains during evening game drive before head to lodge / camp for dinner and overnight .

DAY 4

Serengeti Central ( Seronera )

Today you will take a full – day game drive in Serengeti central region ( seronera ) .
Seronera Valley boost much greater diversity of resident wildlife than anywhere else in the Serengeti National Park .

The large number of resident prey such as giraffe , elephant , impala , topi , waterbuck , gazelle and baboon , often attracts the highest concentrations of large predators such as cheetah , leopard , lion and hyaena along with the smaller ones such as serval cat , jackal and bat – eared fox .

You will take your picnic lunch with you to make sure you make the most of your day in the bush. After evening game return back to camp / lodge for dinner and overnight .

DAY 5

Balloon Safari / Arusha

You will get picked up at 5 am from your lodge / camp and will be driven to your awaiting balloon at the specific launching site . Your driver will drive you to the nearest lodge where you’ll meet up with other flying mates .

Keep an eye out for nocturnal predators as you may find them returning from their nightly hunting on your way to the launching site .
Your pilot will quickly brief you before taking off to the Serengeti skies .
You’ll spend approximately 5 hours flying from 5 – 10 am .
After make a landing their will be a buffet breakfast and Champagne toast offed out in the bush .

After breakfast you will head back to camp / lodge for checking out and begin your way back to Arusha .
NOTE : Ricktrackers & safaris can arrange a short flight from Serengeti through Seronera airstrip to Arusha .
